Data Quality Assuarance
It
is part of the MRC Quality Assurance system for stringent validation to
be carried out to ensure that interviews are genuine and information
collected is accurate and reliable.
Validation is conducted
generally through telephone. Respondents with telephone numbers are
randomly selected for stability, alternate-form and internal
consistency reliability tests.
At least 25% of the sample
will be randomly selected for validation under normal circumstances. In
some circumstances, at least 10% on site checks will be systematically
conducted.
Interviewers found lacking in INTEGRITY,
QUALITY
and EFFICIENCY
will first be warned, and subsequently terminated if they are found to
be committing the same serious errors or fraud.
